GOLDEN GLOBES RED CARPET FASHION

Hello Fashionistas!,

Last night the golden globes aired on CBS and the red carpet fashions didn't disappoint and of course we haven't had any award shows on TV in awhile due to the industry strikes and the pandemic creating a bit of chaos enabling these awards from proceeding. Averaging 9.4 viewers which up by 50% from last year's show, but also is the highest ratings it's had in years. So with that said let's get into my red carpets best dressed list fashion dolls.

Margot Robbie

She was definitely giving Barbie vibes in this sequins pink gown and I love everything about this look even the ruffles and is just stunning. Y'all already know that she was going to be on my list of best dressed in pink LOL.

Janelle James

This gown is plain but gorgeous and the green as the accent color gives it the pop that it needed. I love that the sleeves aren't attached to the gown and I normally don't like the puff style so much, but this is a great addition.

Issa Rae

I love this gown it is gorgeous the gold is amazing on her. The pattern/design is also super fly and the shiny sparkle it gives in the lighting is giving main character vibes. I definitely would love to see what heels she was wearing underneath because I know the whole wardrobe was giving what needed to be given.

Andra Day

She looks amazing in this gown and I really love the feathery lace throughout and adding the gloves makes it that more sophisticated. Additionally, the side front train and sequins embellishments are also very stylish and chic.

Jennifer Lopez

She always looks amazing on the red carpet and this mermaid style gown is so chic. The flower sleeved cape with a train made the gown so stunning and is giving old school Hollywood vibes.

Quinta Brunson

I am really loving all the glitter and sparkle with the razor back cut. The Abbot Elementary actress looks very radiant, the strap heels seem to be the same color as her gown which I also love about her red carpet look.

Selena Gomez

This symmetrical gown with the rose cut out razor back style is stunningly chic and the patent leather Louis Vuitton pumps are everything. I have noticed that she has worn numerous red gowns on past red carpets, but she always looks great.

Sofia Pernas & Justin Hartley

This gown is stunning and made for the red carpet, it shimmers has lace and is a great silhouette from the off the shoulder little straps to the multiple splits. I enjoy when couple outfits are color coordinated because they compliment each other.

America Ferrera

This is so chic and stunning with sequins and pearls throughout. She really looks amazing and the mermaid style gown was custom made for her red carpet debut for her latest film Barbie.

Oprah

I love that she stayed true to her violet colored custom beaded gown with matching heels, bringing "the color purple" to the red carpet. The off the shoulder, long sleeve and train is sophistication at its finest.

Erika Alexander

This is was the best way to bring Ankara to the red carpet and I'm here for it all!. The living single actress definitely looks amazing and pairing it with minimal jewelry and makeup was a great choice.

Hailee Steinfeld

This gown is giving Audrey Hepburn in breakfast at Tiffany's in this stunning gown with lace opera gloves and looked elegantly chic. Additionally, I love that she had her hair styled in Audrey's iconic updo from the 1960's.

Rachel Brosnahan

This heart shaped off the shoulder gown is amazing and the button hole cut outs with the high split is chic. I like that she made her gown the main focus and didn't wear to much jewelry or makeup making this elegant look great.

Taylor Swift

This mermaid sparkle spaghetti strap gown with the back cut outs looks good on her. Additionally, I like that she to went with minimalism and didn't wear a lot of jewelry, which keeps things simple but still elegant.

Natalie Portman

This floral sequins gown was definitely an elegant and stylish gown sparkling. With a gown so extravagant as this one not wearing to much makeup and jewelry was her best choice, because nothing needs to take the focus of the dress.

Congrats to all the winners but the ones I mentioned were what stuck out the most to me because of course I am aware of them from watching others I didn't. The red carpet did not disappoint and the women bringing the sparkle, glimmer and shine were my absolute favorites, because to me that's what the red carpet is all about. I am glad to get back to seeing all the fashion during award season and will be reporting all the other award shows coming up soon, so keep your eyes peeled for those upcoming posts.
