2023 MET GALA RED CARPET REPORT
Hello Fashionistas!,
Last night was the Met Gala held at the NY metropolitan museum of art and you know I had to watch for the best dressed on the red carpet, because it's what I do LOL. I am so happy that this year the annual fundraiser that benefits the museums costume institute and also is the launch of the Spring exhibition as well, which happens every May 1st.
I have missed seeing red carpet fashions and awarding greatness at award shows, although this isn't one LOL. So let's get into who I thought was the best dressed and all the tea y'all
RED CARPET BEST LOOKS
ICE SPICE

She made her debut in a stunning Balmain gown, I love that she was invited to this event and of course she looked amazing!. I love a good train on a gown not to long and the sequins really makes the body con gown chic and very elegant.
GISELE BUNDCHEN

The model stepped onto the red carpet in Chanel Couture with a feathered cape that was shaped like angel wings at the shoulders. Gisele's gown first debuted on the Chanel runway in 2007, where it was the finale look for the label’s spring haute couture show. I think she looks amazing ! The dress is chic and stylish; I really love the combination of the feathers with sparkles.
HALLE BAILEY

Gracing the red carpet in a razor back elegant Gucci gown Ms Halle looks amazing and I love that everything stayed with the sequins aesthetic, she sort of channeled her inner Princess Tiana from Princess and the frog. Halle definitely to me is a fashion icon because she sure knows how to step on bitches necks with her style.
KEKE PALMER

This new mother stepped out in her tweed gown by Sergio Hudson, which was embellished with more than 12,000 Swarovski crystals and pearls. Keke looks so good I love the pastel colors on her and that coat is a statement piece for sure.
CARDI B

Although this wasn't what she wore on the red carpet this tweed gown is by Richard Quinn and I liked this one more than what she wore on the red carpet. I love that it's designed like a Chanel jacket with that plunging neckline is just a sexy edgy way to style another fashion icon who isn't afraid to try new things in fashion and pushes the limits in style often
KIM KARDASHIAN & NORTH WEST

Kim wore a super sexy revealing Schiaparelli gown was that dripping in 50,000 freshwater pearls and over 16,000 crystals. North West was wearing a Chanel tweed coat with a pearl clutch. This Mother daughter duo looked so cute walking hand in hand although North West didn't accompany her Mom to the party I love how their outfit complimented each others.
The word on the street was that Kim and her sisters were allegedly banned from attending this years Met Gala, but that was obviously a rumor LOL, when in fact it's Gwyneth Paltrow, Tina Fey, Lena Dunham, Demi Lovato, Jameela Jamil and Amy Schumer.
KYLIE JENNER

Stepping out in this cutout styled gown by Haider Ackermann for Jean Paul Gaultier and pairing it with a matching crimson blue robe was a sexy way to style a high ass leg split, of course Kylie looked fucking great in it.
LALA

Lala is giving mermaid goddess in her custom Sergio Hudson gown and although it's a minimalist style I love the gold embellishments with the Chanel-like chains draped across the chest. She looks glamorus and is very much giving us a 70's vibe with her hair style and cat eye styled glasses.
YARA SHAHIDI

Wearing a lovely mini gown half of it being 2008 archived Jean Paul Gaultier and the other half couture, which is her way of paying homage to Chanel and 90's supermodels. The embellishment of the pearls is giving monochromatic, it's a cute mixture with the heart bustier on the top. She looked like a princess and I really like her hair like this looking very pretty.
NAOMI CAMPBELL

Walking onto the red carpet wearing a 2010 Chanel gown, that I love ! The color is everything and that silver embellishment is the best pairing. It's giving greek mythology goddess and that's something that I also love about her gown.
RITA ORA

Chic and elegantly walking the red carpet in a Prabal Gurung gown and a long train was a great style for Rita. I love that she kept the jewelry at a minimum because it keeps all the focus on the details of this lovely gown instead.
MARGOT ROBBIE

Dazzling the red carpet in vintage a vintage Chanel gown worn by supermodel Cindy Crawford in 1993. I also really like that she kept jewelry to a minimum as well and the natural makeup makes her appear even more Barbie like and pretty.
DOJA CAT

Gliding across the red carpet in Oscar Del La Renta and featured a dramatic cat ear hoodie as well LOL but the purpose for her strutting her cat face and hoodie down the carpet was to be dressed Karl Lagerfeld's pet cat Choupette. I love her feathery train it's a elegant addition to this gorgeous gown and the jewelry dazzlement is chic as well.
ANNA WINTOR

Gracing the Met Gala red carpet in a patterned Chanel coat and I just love it! The sparkle is chic and the tea is the man on her arm is Bill Nighy a British actor this debut together has sparked rumors about them having a romantic relationship. Honestly if they do congrats to them shit they could be in love for all we know and if that's the fact then hey good luck y'all
ANNE HATHAWAY

Looking stunning in this Atelier Versace dress inspired by the Chanel spring/summer 2018 collection. What I love the most is the gold trimming and matching coat. I really think that this was the perfect dress for Anne and love to see her looking so amazing !
ASHLEY GRAHAM

This Mother of two wore a vintage Barbie-like gown by Harris Reed, a nod to Chanel Haute Couture of the mid '80s to the early '90s. Her pearl earrings are so cute and aligns with her vintage aesthetic as well and looks freaking exquisite
MARY J BLIDGE
